i think that this book is absolutely lovely. often i read books too quickly, so it’s good to slow down with this one.
it took me a month to read this and when i finished I felt like I’d farewelled old friends.
This book leaves a huge grin on my face.

Swallows and Amazons For Ever!
I’ve returned to regular Iyengar yoga practice after almost a year away. I’ve always loved yoga, but it’s only now that everything has clicked into place and I’m hungry for more information.
Light on Yoga has been sitting on my shelf for over a year, and while I’ve dipped in and out, I’m now reading the asana descriptions one after another. I’ll return to the start and read more about the foundations of yoga in a couple of weeks.
Anna Karenina is absolutely my favourite book ever. The love affair between Count Vronsky and Anna is tragic and beautiful, but the standout element of the story is the relationship between Levin and Kitty.
I love all of Godden’s India books.
Kingfisher’s… is set in Kashmir and I desparately want to go there… It’s such a pity that people are always fighting!
not nearly as good as a heartbreaking work of staggering genius, but i finished it almost 5 months ago and i still think back on it.
I’ve been meaning to read this for years and I finally read it over the weekend. I’ll definitely read more vonnegut when i get the chance.
I have to admit that I was expecting there to be more about the bombing of Dresden, but I still enjoyed SH-5 a lot. I found it to be a particularly good companion over the ANZAC Day long weekend.
