3 Reasons to Get Your Medical Marijuana Card Today
Depending on where you live in the world, it might be possible to start taking advantage of medical marijuana. More and more countries around the world are making it possible for citizens to apply for a medical marijuana card or something similar. Some countries won’t actually offer a card, but federal governments where medical marijuana is legal make accessing medical weed simple.
Take Canada as an example. Unlike its neighbor to the south, Canadians wanting to take advantage of the medical marijuana program – called the ACMPR – won’t receive a card. They can, however, still apply for a medical license to buy and grow weed for medical reasons. The process just requires a medical marijuana prescription and a few forms of paperwork to be filled out.
Although you won’t receive a physical card, applying for an ACMPR license to grow means that you’ll be able to access your medical treatment easier than ever. No matter where you live, it makes sense to take advantage of medical marijuana as long as it is legal in your country of residence. Not yet convinced? Medical Marijuana Treats a Variety of Conditions
A recent study comparing the effects of alcohol on weed smokers and non weed smokers showed something very interesting. One man, aged 47, claimed to be drinking alcohol heavily for the past 30 years. He also admitted to smoking a great deal of cannabis. Tests were conducted to determine the damage done to his liver. Only there was no damage to be found.
Another man, age 45, also admitted to drinking large quantities of alcohol throughout his adulthood. However, this alcoholic male has not smoked or used cannabis in any way. The tests showed extensive damage to the liver, so much that a transplant is necessary within the next few years.
The evidence points to one thing: cannabis has extreme healing and repairing properties. We will never know for sure if cannabis was the element that protected the first patient’s liver, but it seems more than likely. Especially since recent research on cannabis has been conclusive on the substance’s ability to treat a wide range of conditions.
A Medical Marijuana Card Means Easy Access to Treatment
With a medical card in your possession, you’ll never have to worry about accessing your medication again. Just be sure to stay on top of the license and renew it when the time comes. In Canada, for example, the ACMPR license lasts for one year before it needs to be renewed.
Some Medical Cards Allow the Card Holder to Grow from Home
Let’s use Canada as an example once again. When Canadians apply for the ACMPR license to grow medical marijuana from home, that is exactly what they’ll be able to do. Growing from home can be fun, rewarding, and it is by far the most cost effective method for access to medical cannabis.
